ALTERNATIVE PROGRAM

In-Person. Face-to-Face classes allows students receive in-person instruction from teachers.

Online Programs

  • Online Accelerated
    • High School Requirements - Online students are expected to excel academically and must adhere to the following guidelines:
    • Cannot fail more than one class in any given academic term.
    • Must maintain a quarterly Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 or higher.
    • Must maintain a "Rolling Cumulative GPA" of 2.0 or higher throughout their enrollment in the program.
    • A student cannot have a GPA lower than 2.0 for two consecutive academic terms.
    • No more than one (1) credit behind.
    • No history of truancy (No Exceptions)
  • Online Health - Student with medical/psychological or physical diagnosis. Documentation must be provided that outlines reasons in which students cannot attend in-person programming (i.e immunocompromised family member/self). Even if Covid related.

The Avenues Parallel Program (APP) is designed for students who are over age and under credit and are looking to complete their high school equivalency and are ready to move into the Post-Secondary Education/Workforce.

Credit Recovery Avenue

Credit Recovery

Aurora Public Schools' credit recovery program is designed to provide an opportunity for students to obtain credits toward their high school graduation. Students are assigned two .25 credit courses at a time on the Edgenuity online curriculum platform. Student may work from home or at school to complete lesson activities.
